Off The Row had the pleasure of working with the extremely talented, Hayley Giovinazzo! She was a joy and her music is fresh and commercial! She writes her own material and we are excited about her future as an artist! Read to learn more about this girl!
Where are you from and how long have you been singing?
I am from a small town called Stow, Massachusetts and I’ve been singing since before I could talk. I’m pretty sure there are videos of me belting out “Before He Cheats” by Carrie Underwood at about five years old.
Who are your musical influences?
My biggest musical influences are Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves, and Dolly Parton.
Do you write and how do you get inspired?
Yes I write and I get inspired by anything and everything. Anything that moves my soul inspires me whether it be listening to the right song at the right time, a good movie, people inspire me and relationships inspire me, places, and nature.
Tell us about your experience working with Off The Row in the studio?
I had the best experience working with Off The Row studio. It was my first time recording music professionally and everyone at Off The Row made it so special. It really felt like a family, and like everyone cared about the music that was being created just as much as I did. Everyone is so sweet, so talented and knowledgeable, and so helpful!
How is the pandemic affecting music for you?
If I’m being completely honest this horrible pandemic has been a blessing for my music. It’s given me time to create and write A LOT, my first time recording professionally was during the pandemic and I don’t think that would have been possible without the time I’ve had to create.
What is your favorite song you didn’t write and why?
Oh my gosh, there are way too many to list but I also love this question. A few are “Cowboy Take Me Away” By The Chicks, “Late To The Party” by Kacey Musgraves, “Tim McGraw” by Taylor Swift. BUT I would have to say currently my favorite song I wished I had written is “More Hearts Than Mine” by Ingrid Andress, the first time I heard that song I felt like someone saw my heart and wrote down every heartbreak I’d ever had into a song word for word. It’s so honest and so beautifully written I’m mad I didn’t write it but so glad it was written.
What are your musical plans for 2021
Write, write, write. I want to write as much music as I possibly can.
How would you describe your sound?
Vibey country with a modern twist.
What is your favorite quote that describes how you view life?
“Don’t be so busy making a living that you forget to make a life” Dolly Parton
Any exciting news musically or personal?
NEW MUSIC, I just released my debut single “Old School Vinyl” and in the coming months I’ll be releasing a few more singles so keep a lookout :)
